Coming home: Former Jaguars RB Travis Etienne to sign with hometown Saints

Travis Etienne is coming home.

The Saints made a splash at the unofficial start of free agency Monday when they agreed to terms with former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne, according to multiple reports.

The contract is reportedly worth $52 million over four years.

Etienne, from Jennings, Louisiana, rushed for more than 1,000 yards in three of his four seasons with the Jaguars. His presence should boost a Saints running game that struggled last season.

ESPN first reported Etienne's deal.

The agreement comes after the Saints lost long-time linebacker Demario Davis to the New York Jets and days after the team restructured running back Alvin Kamara's contract.
