Report: Liverpool officials jet in to race Man Utd for "excellent" rising star

Liverpool have now sent officials to join the race to sign an attacking star alongside Premier League rivals Manchester United this summer.

Gravenberch "proud" to sign new Liverpool deal

There has been no frantic scramble to extend Ryan Gravenberch's contract like there was for Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. This time around, Liverpool got things done before panic could set in, with the Dutchman putting pen to paper on a new and improved deal until 2032.

Delighted with his new contract, Gravenberch said: "I feel really, really good. I was really proud to extend my contract at such a big club. So, I’m really happy that I can stay for many more years,” Gravenberch told the official club website.

"I felt directly the trust from the club, also from the manager. The decision for me was easy to make. My family is also happy here. We are now here almost three years, so I know everything already. I’m happy that I’m here."

Anfield's homegrown Adam Wharton could end Curtis Jones' Liverpool career

Liverpool have an academy star who could end Curtis Jones' career at the club as their own version of Adam Wharton.

There was a time when the midfielder looked destined for the exit door at Anfield, before Arne Slot arrived and he became a man transformed in the No.6 role.

Now a Premier League winner, Gravenberch will have his sights set on taking the Reds back to the top of English football after a difficult campaign this season.

Liverpool, meanwhile, can now shift their focus back towards the transfer window. On that front, names like Antonee Robinson are threatening to steal the headlines.

The Fulham man would replace Andy Robertson, who is on course to leave as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season.

What's more, those at Anfield could also welcome a vital reinforcement to an attack which has run out of ideas all too quickly in the last six months.

Liverpool send officials to race for Akliouche

As reported by TeamTalk, Liverpool officials have now flown in to join the race for Maghnes Akliouche - watching the AS Monaco attacker in action as he put Paris Saint-Germain to the sword.

The Reds are looking to land one of Europe's rising stars and could also get one over on rivals Man United, who are also watching the Frenchman closely.

If there were any doubts about Akliouche's ability to perform against the best that Europe has to offer, then his display against European champions PSG last weekend should put those to bed.

The right-winger opened the scoring in the 27th minute and Monaco didn't look back, eventually securing a 3-1 victory in Ligue 1.

It was an excellent performance and one that the 24-year-old could be ready to recreate in the Premier League. Scouts from both Liverpool and Man United were in attendance for Monaco's win and had the chance to witness the Akliouche show.

Dubbed "excellent" by Como scout Ben Mattinson, the winger himself could now have quite the call to make in the summer if both clubs come calling.
