Mike Evans contract details: 49ers grant veteran WR’s Super Bowl contender wish with three-year deal

The San Francisco 49ers have made a big splash.

Veteran wide receiver Mike Evans agreed to a deal with the 49ers on Monday, per Adam Schefter, which officially brings the star's 12-year run with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to an end.

While Evans, 32, is no longer the dominant WR1 he once was, he still adds an elite wide receiver to the 49ers' offense, one of the NFL's premiere red-zone threats throughout his career.

Here's a look at Evans' deal with the 49ers.

Mike Evans contract details

Years: 3

Value: TBD

Average Annual Value: TBD

Evans has agreed to a three-year deal with the 49ers, per Schefter, with financial details not yet known.

However, Evans' market was reportedly heating up in the days coming into free agency, with growing belief that he would depart Tampa Bay for a Super Bowl contender. San Francisco fit that description, coming off a strong 2025 season in a tough NFC West. As of Monday morning, teams were offering Evans "north" of $27 million per year, according to Greg Auman.

Evans' deal will be taking him through his age-35 season. While he came back from an injury last season, he's otherwise remained healthy and productive throughout his Buccaneers career, owning over 13,000 career receiving yards and over 100 touchdown receptions.

He's set to bring a reliable outside threat for Brock Purdy and the 49ers, yet another elite veteran in the offense alongside George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey. With Brandin Aiyuk's future with the 49ers still up in the air, the team has pivoted to one of the best options available.
