The FA Cup quarter-finals are set, with Liverpool pitted against Man City at the Etihad.

With the title well out of reach, the FA Cup is Liverpool’s best chance at silverware this season.

The win over Wolves on Friday saw the Reds comfortably through to the last eight, and they now need just three wins to get their hands on the trophy.

Starting with Man City, who Liverpool played out a gripping tie with just last month.

Liverpool vs Man City never disappoints

The FA Cup quarter-final draw has delivered the ultimate heavyweight clash: Liverpool vs. Manchester City.

The two most dominant forces in English football are set to meet at Anfield on the weekend of April 4/5, 2026.

The FA Cup could be huge for Arne Slot’s job security

It’s fair to say Slot is not popular with every fan these days, but ending the season with silverware would certainly convert many of the non-believers.

Some think it’s silverware or bust for Slot at Liverpool. I’m not so sure that’s where FSG’s decision will be made.

Is winning the FA Cup enough to keep Arne Slot in a job beyond 2025/26? If not, why? 🤔

Whatever the case, winning the FA Cup would put a much brighter complexion on an admittedly dull season.

To get there, Liverpool have to beat Man City at the beginning of April.
