Jaelan Phillips has inked a deal to play for Carolina.
The Carolina Panthers have signed Jaelan Phillips to a four-year, $120 million contract, according to NBC Philadelphia. The 26-year-old pass rusher spent time playing for the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2025.
The 2021 first-round pick will head to Carolina with the support of his fiancee, Samantha. After news of the deal broke, Samantha took to her Instagram Stories to congratulate her man.
“LET’S GO BABY,” she captioned a post sharing the news of Jaelan’s signing. “Words can’t even expressed how thrilled I am for you. You DESERVE THIS,” she added, along with a red heart emoji. She shared some additional posts about the deal, clearly very proud of her guy.
Jaelan Phillips Seems Excited for the Future
In the eight games Phillips played with the Eagles after joining the team midseason, he recorded 28 total tackles and two sacks, with four passes defended and two forced turnovers.
Across the entire 2025 season between the Dolphins and the Eagles, Phillips finished with 53 tackles and five sacks in 17 games.
Phillips was pretty stoked to have been able to play in 2025 after suffering injuries that had previously kept him off the field.
“Year 5 in the books. Feeling extremely grateful to be able to finish another full season after 2 devastating season-ending injuries. I’m hungry. I’m locked in,” ,” he captioned an Instagram post in January 2026. He continued, “I’m ready. Jobs not finished.”
Despite finding a rhythm with the Eagles, Phillips seems to be excited for what lies ahead. After news that he’d signed with Carolina hit the internet, he took to his Instagram Stories to react. He shared a picture of himself as a young boy and added an emotional caption.
“Just a kid from Redlands, CA. God is amazing. #keeppounding,” he wrote.

Phillips proposed to his girlfriend in 2025. She shared the exciting news on Instagram, sharing photos from the special day and showing off her large engagement ring.
“WERE ENGAGED YALLLLLL!!” she captioned an Instagram post on August 25, 2025. “This was truly the most stunning proposal I could have ever dreamed of, thank you to everyone who helped put this together, and most importantly thank you to the love of my LIFEEE for taking the time to make the sweetest, most thoughtful, creative, and detail oriented proposal EVER. I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together. Forever ain’t long enough! We’re going to be together forever plus in heaven and every after life after that. I love you long timeeeee my sweet baby!!”
The couple is expecting their first child—a baby boy—any day now. The duo has already shared that they plan to name their son Shiloh.
The family will undoubtedly be house hunting near Charlotte soon.
