Chicago Bears linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was connected to the New York Giants via trade.
The NFL landscape has been shaken up this Monday, as teams can now begin negotiating deals with free agents, though they won’t be able to officially sign them until the new league year kicks off on Wednesday.
Several Buffalo Bills players, including quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, guard David Edwards and fullback Reggie Gilliam, have found new teams. However, a former player who left a few years back has now secured a new home as well.
Former Bills Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds is Heading to New York
According to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network, former Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmundshas reached an agreement with the New York Giants on a three-year deal worth $36 million, which includes $23.7 million guaranteed.
“The Giants are signing standout LB Tremaine Edmunds to a 3-year, $36M deal with $23.7M fully guaranteed,” Rapoport wrote Monday on X.
Buffalo drafted Edmunds in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and he earned Pro Bowl honors for two consecutive seasons, from 2019 to 2020. In 2023, Edmunds signed a four-year, $72 million contract with the Chicago Bears, but the team parted ways with him during the offseason.
