The Jacksonville Jaguars could be willing to trade one of their top playmakers this offseason.
Connor Hughes of SNY revealed on Monday that the Jaguars are entertaining trade offers for wide receicer Brian Thomas Jr.
"SOURCES: The #Jaguars are entertaining offers for WR Brian Thomas, SNY TV has learned. Both the #Jets & #Giants explored Thomas at the traded deadline last year, but Jacksonville wasn't willing to do any deal," Hughes said.
Thomas had a promising rookie campaign with 1,282 receiving yards and ten touchdowns. However, he took a step back in 2025, and with Jacksonville already having Jakobi Meyers and Travis Hunter at receiver, Thomas could be expendable.
With the Jaguars taking calls on Thomas, the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and New England Patriots should have interest in the third-year pass-catcher.
New York needs to add a receiver with Wan'Dale Robinson departing for the Tennessee Titans and Malik Nabers recovering from a torn ACL. Trading for Thomas would give the Giants a young, dynamic receiver duo and would make quarterback Jaxson Dart very happy.
San Francisco should also look into the receiver market with Jauan Jennings on the free agency market and Brandon Aiyuk likely out of the picture. Thomas would step in as one of the top pass-catchers for quarterback Brock Purdy and would be an exciting fit in Kyle Shanahan's offense.
New England is planning to release Stefon Diggs, so they don't have a No. 1 receiver. Thomas could step up and be that guy. He showed during his rookie year that he can be the engine of a team's passing attack, and the Patriots could be the franchise that maximizes his skill set.
Giving up on Thomas after just two seasons wouldn't be a logical move from the Jaguars, but if they traded the LSU product, the Giants, 49ers, and Patriots should target him.
