Former Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa signs with Falcons, reports say

Just hours after his release from the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa signed a one-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons, according to multiple reports. The quarterback will now have a chance to compete with Michael Penix Jr. for the starting role.

Tagovailoa had the worst year of his career in 2025. Through 14 games, he completed roughly 68% of his passes for 2,660 yards and 20 touchdowns. He also tossed 15 interceptions, the second-highest mark in the NFL.
