Raiders add Maxx Crosby replacement

The Las Vegas Riders have been extremely busy to start the legal-tampering period of free agency and they had now added a pass-rusher to help replace the traded Maxx Crosby.

According to several reports the Raiders are signing Indianapolis Colts’ pass-rusher Kwity Paye. He is getting a three-year, $48 million deal from Las Vegas.

Paye spent his first five seasons with the Colts after being a first-round pick out of Michigan in 2020. Paye is very athletic and has been solid in the NFL, but not dynamic. He has 30.5 career sacks, but had just four sacks last season, his fewest since his rookie season. He had a career high 8.5 sacks in 2023. He is a solid run stopper.

He will play a key role for the Raiders as they move on from Crosby, who was traded to the Baltimroe Ravens.

This was considered a solid class of free-agent pass-rushers. Several were taken off the board early Monday.

The Raiders have added more than $200 million in contracts as they have added Peye, cornerback Taron Johnson, re-signed cornerback Eric Stokes, added star center Tyler Linderbaum and wide receiver Jalen Nailor.
