Alexis Mac Allister has confirmed he is not in talks over a new Liverpool deal.
Mac Allister signed a five-year contract on his arrival at Anfield in 2023, when fellow midfielders Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai also joined.
The Argentina international has been tipped for a new deal after Gravenberch penned a six-year extension while Szoboszlai is still in talks over fresh terms.
But Mac Allister’s father Carlos revealed in recent weeks that his son is yet to receive any approaches from the Reds’ hierarchy over a similar proposal.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 encounter with Galatasaray, the World Cup winner affirmed that negotiations have yet to be instigated.
“First of all I want to congratulate Ryan because it is really good for him [to renew] and he deserves it,” said Mac Allister.
“He’s been a really important player for us in the season that we won the Premier League, which is not easy at all. So congratulations to him.
“In terms of me, we are not in contract talks.
“But I am not in a rush and that is only a fact.”
