Bills Bring Back Josh Allen’s Close Friend as No. 2 QB

The Buffalo Bills lost a longtime backup to quarterback Josh Allen, then brought back his close friend to re-fill the role of No. 2.

Previous backup Mitch Trubisky will be leaving the team, agreeing to sign a new contract with the Tennessee Titans as the backup to second-year signal-caller Cam Ward. With Trubisky gone, the Bills made quick work of finding a veteran backup to replace him — one who is very familiar with Buffalo and close to Allen.

Bills Wrap Up Quarterback Search Quickly

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday that the Bills came to terms with veteran quarterback Kyle Allen, who spent two seasons in Buffalo as the backup to Allen.

“Source: Former Lions QB Kyle Allen Is signing a two-year, $4.1 million deal worth up to $6.1 million with the Buffalo Bills, where he will reunite with his close friend Josh Allen,” Schefter reported in a post on X.
