Depot After Dark: Pittman’s Wife Predicted Trade, Ravens Not Tendering RB, Packers Release OL

A Steelers Depot daily segment. A quick hit of some Pittsburgh Steelers-related stories that may not require a complete article, but nuggets worth mentioning and passing on to you guys.

Your Depot After Dark for March 9.

PITTMAN’S WIFE PREDICTED TRADE

The Steelers once again traded for a wide receiver as free agency started. They’ve acquired Michael Pittman Jr. in exchange for a late-round pick swap with the Indianapolis Colts. Pittman has been in the league since 2020, and he’s had over 1,000 receiving yards twice. He’s a good player, and he should be an upgrade for the Steelers. His wife had an idea that he’d be leaving Indianapolis for Pittsburgh, though.

Pittman took to Twitter to share that his wife had a dream months ago with him in a Steelers jersey. Considering that the season was still going on a few months ago, Pittman likely had no idea that he would get traded, let alone to Pittsburgh. However, it’s still a funny coincidence. Some things are just meant to be.

RAVENS NOT TENDERING RB

The Baltimore Ravens had a rough day as the legal tampering period of free agency began. They watched as key pieces of their team, like Isaiah Likely and Tyler Linderbaum, left. The Ravens are looking to be Super Bowl contenders in 2026, but losing those players doesn’t help that. That might not be the end of players leaving Baltimore this offseason, either.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported on Twitter that the Ravens aren’t tendering running back Keaton Mitchell. That allows him to hit free agency. While Derrick Henry is their starter, Mitchell has been a nice change-of-pace back for the Ravens. They haven’t lost him yet, but letting him hit the open market could be dangerous.

PACKERS RELEASE OL

Isaac Seumalo agreed to terms with the Arizona Cardinals. That leaves the Steelers with a hole along their offensive line. While Spencer Anderson could potentially fill that void, the Steelers could fill it in free agency. A new target may have emerged, too.

The Green Bay Packers are releasing offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, according to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero. Jenkins has been with them since 2019, and he’s made two Pro Bowls. While he was most recently a center, he’s played all along the offensive line, including left guard. While Mike McCarthy didn’t draft Jenkins, he played with Aaron Rodgers. So if the veteran quarterback returns, Pittsburgh could target Jenkins.

One day after re-signing center Sean Rhyan, the Packers informed Elgton Jenkins they’re releasing him, per source.
