Former Ole Miss Rebel and pro bowl left tackle Laremy Tunsil has signed a 2-year contract extension with the Washington Commanders, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Tunsil, one of the best offensive linemen in football, will spend his 11th and 12 seasons in Washington D.C.

According to the report from Schefer, Tunsil’s extension includes $61.5 million in guarantees, including a $32.5 million signing bonus, the biggest for an offensive lineman in NFL history.

Quite the impressive contract for the 31-year old:

Tunsil landed at Washington last offseason and played 14 games for the Commanders this past season. Before signing with Washington, Tunsil starred for Houston Texans and Miami Dolphins.

Tunsil was selected 13th overall by the Dolphins after a slight fall on draft night. He spent 3 years in Miami before being traded to Houston in 2019 for a horde of draft picks, but it was well worth it for the Texans. Tunsil put together 5 pro bowl seasons with Houston before being traded to Washington.

Here’ s a quick look at the latest odds to win the NFC South next season, per Kalshi:
