The Jacksonville Jaguars are losing players left and right on day one of NFL free agency. According to multiple reports, Jags’ star linebacker Devin Lloyd has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers. Lloyd had been considered a consensus top 10-15 free agent across the league. The deal is three-years worth up to $45 million.
The former first-round draft pick out of Utah had spent his first four NFL seasons with the Jaguars, and now presumably lands a multi-year deal with the Panthers. The Pro Bowl linebacker had five interceptions in 2025, including a 99-yard pick-six. He has nine total interceptions in his career to go along with 436 total tackles.

The Jacksonville Jaguars also lost running back Trevor Etienne Jr. to free agency on Monday, and after having a very successful 2025 season, the Jags will have to fill the shoes of both Devin Lloyd and Etienne Jr. Two big losses on both sides of the ball.
Devin Lloyd had been a standout linebacker since day one in a Jags uniform. He’s started 61 of 63 games that he’s played in over his four-year NFL career.
However, for the Carolina Panthers, they have had a solid day one of free agency by beefing up their linebacker core with two solid players in Devin Lloyd and Jaelen Phillips.
