Reports: Carolina Panthers add linebacker Devin Lloyd in free agency

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Carolina Panthers general manager Dan Morgan has been very aggressive filling some holes on the defensive side of the ball during day one of NFL free agency.

According to reports, the team will sign linebacker Devin Lloyd to a 3 year deal worth $45 million-- $25 million of it is fully guaranteed.

The deal can not be finalized until the first day of league year on Wednesday.

Last year with Jacksonville, Lloyd was a Pro Bowler as he had 81 tackles and 5 interceptions.

In his previous 3 years with the Jags, he tallied at least 110 tackles each season.

Earlier in the day, the team agreed to terms with outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips.
