Fast forward to this Monday, the Clippers have miraculously officially clawed their way back on the competitive track by beating the New York Knicks with a 126-118 victory.

For the first time since Nov. 3 —when they were 3–3 through six games — the Clippers have climbed back to a .500 record. They are now occupying the eighth seed of the Western Conference with a 32-32 record.

The trade deadline departures of James Harden and Ivica Zubac further left uncertainty about the Clippers' chances to compete, but the resilient LA group kept fighting and has successfully put itself back in the mix for contention.

Behind Kawhi Leonard's lead, with the superstar averaging a career-high 27.9 points, the Clippers have weathered the storm and are now thriving. As such, the major additions of Darius Garland and Ben Mathurin injected the organization with youthful energy and optimism in the long-term picture.

With 18 games left in their regular season, the Clippers aren't clearly done yet. Their mission to go above .500, go even higher and eventually clinch a playoff seat is set to commence on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
