Miami reportedly signed Willis to a three year contract worth $67.5 million as the franchise looks to strengthen its quarterback room. The move gives the Dolphins an experienced option behind starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa while also providing Willis an opportunity to compete for playing time in a new environment.

Willis joined Green Bay after beginning his career with the Tennessee Titans and later carving out a role as a developmental quarterback. During his time with the Packers he primarily served as a backup to Jordan Love, learning within the system while stepping in when needed during practices and preseason action.
Although Willis did not start games regularly in Green Bay, his athleticism and strong arm made him an intriguing option for teams searching for quarterback depth. Miami’s front office appears to believe his skill set fits well within an offense that values mobility and playmaking ability at the position.
