Arsenal have a potential superstar on their hands, according to Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal star Eberechi Eze has been discussing one of the brightest up and coming talents at the club. The Gunners have a squad filled to the brim with quality this season, and it’s one Mikel Arteta is expected to lead to the Premier League title.

Competition is rife in every position throughout the squad, and Arsenal’s mission will be to keep that the case this summer.

The one downside to having such intense competition is the impact it has on younger players, but that hasn’t stopped one of Arsenal’s youngest senior-eligible talents from knocking on the door.

At the age of just 16, Max Dowman has been pushing for game time, and he has found some in the Premier League and FA Cup, at least here and there, most recently starting the 2-1 FA Cup win over Mansfield Town.

Dowman has dazzled coaches, both at Arsenal and other clubs, and he has a clear ability, able to dance around players far older and experienced than he is.

Given Dowman is only 16, there is no telling how far he can go, especially because a player’s development is never linear, and very few end up maxing out their potential.

Dowman will want to buck that trend, and teammate Eze believes he can. He told Standard Sport: “He is a special, special player. To be able to play in these types of conditions and do so well on the ball, and dribble the way he was, showed he is a special talent.

“We are all trying to support and help him as much as possible to grow, improve and fulfil his potential.” Dowman has six senior appearances for Arsenal so far this season.
