Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly considering allowing striker Viktor Gyökeres to leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to fresh claims from Spanish outlet Fichajes.
The report suggests that *ARSENAL*’s coaching staff are already evaluating their attacking options ahead of the 2026–27 season, and that Gyokeres’ future at the Emirates Stadium may not be guaranteed despite his relatively recent arrival in north London.
Gyokeres only joined Arsenal in July 2025 from Sporting CP in a deal worth around £64 million, after an extended transfer saga earlier that summer. The Swedish international arrived with a prolific reputation following a remarkable spell in Portugal, where he scored heavily and established himself as one of Europe’s most productive forwards.
However, reports in Spain claim that Arteta and Arsenal’s recruitment team are already assessing whether the 28-year-old fits the long-term tactical vision for the club. According to the claims, the manager is open to offers if the club receives a suitable proposal during the next window.
One factor behind the speculation is Gyokeres’ adaptation to the Premier League. Moving from the Portuguese top flight to England represents a major step up in intensity and tactical demands, and several reports have suggested that both Gyokeres and fellow striker Benjamin Sesko have struggled to fully adjust after high-profile transfers to England.
