Chelsea are busy preparing for arguably Liam Rosenior’s biggest game as Blues manager as he takes his side to Paris to take on PSG, and Clinton Morrison has predicted who will win the tie.
There is a feeling of momentum back at Chelsea again after two important wins against Aston Villa and Wrexham. It has reignited Chelsea’s push for the top five, and pushed Chelsea into the FA Cup quarters.
But the big, pressurised games don’t stop there. Next up for Chelsea is the reigning Champions League winners, Club World Cup final rivals PSG. Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro starred in last summer’s 3-0 win.

Wednesday night is a different game altogether, not least because this PSG side are struggling to reach the heights of last term. Chelsea will be looking to take advantage, and Clinton Morrison thinks they can.
Clinton Morrison explains why he thinks Chelsea beat PSG
While Chelsea come into the game in good form, PSG do not. It is almost as if Luis Enrique’s side are in transition after the highs of last season, with injuries hampering Enrique’s progress in league and cup.
Remarkably, PSG are only a point above Lens in Ligue 1 after their last game, a 3-1 home loss to Monaco. Former Chelsea star Denis Zakaria played in that game but refused to reveal the secret behind the win.

Speaking to Sky Sports, former Crystal Palace and Ireland striker Morrison backed Chelsea to get the better of PSG in the last 16 clash. He thinks Chelsea’s attacking players can cause Enrique’s side issues.
“Everyone says PSG haven’t been in good form, Chelsea should fancy their chances. I don’t think it is the same PSG that we saw win the Champions League last season, I think it is a different team,” Morrison said.
“Chelsea are in good form, it is a close one, but I think Chelsea just take this. PSG are the champions, but Chelsea’s attacking players can cause them problems. No sitting on the fence, I’m saying it how it is.”
Chelsea and PSG injury news ahead of last 16 clash
Chelsea come into the game with an improving injury bill. Marc Cucurella came on against Wrexham after a hamstring injury, while Romeo Lavia and Dario Essugo both played against the Welsh outfit.
Chelsea have a real chance of beating PSG 👊
Ruiz is missing, Neves might be…
Tosin Adarabioyo also started after his hamstring injury. Chelsea will still be without Levi Colwill, Estevao and Jamie Gittens. PSG are also without key players going into Wednesday’s Champions League clash.
Fabian Ruiz will be missing, a key part of PSG’s midfield and Joao Neves is a doubt. Ousmane Dembele should be fit after returning from injury against Monaco last Friday, off the bench. All eyes on Wednesday.
