Ravens Hemorrhaging Offensive Talent To Start Free Agency

It’s not even the new league year yet, but the Ravens are hemorrhaging talent on the offensive side of the ball. Despite making a push to retain C Tyler Linderbaum, the Raiders blew the doors off the positional market. And they lost a pair of tight ends, most notably Isaiah Likely, leaving them with the aging Mark Andrews.

The Ravens also have some notable depth at the skill positions on the market, though they may still return. WRs DeAndre Hopkins and Tylan Wallace are free agents. Since the Ravens did not tender RB Keaton Mitchell, he is now available as well—and the Steelers should take a good look at him.

This is a big offseason for the Ravens, who blew up the coaching staff following another failed season. Former HC John Harbaugh is now with the Giants, poaching his former players. Thus far, he has signed Likely and P Jordan Stout. The Chargers, helmed by Harbaugh’s brother, also snagged blocking TE Charlie Kolar, their Darnell Washington of sorts.

Of course, the biggest storyline of free agency for the Ravens so far is the big swing for Maxx Crosby. A star under-30 pass rusher, he is a piece Baltimore believes can push them across the finish line. In the meanwhile, they were willing to say goodbye to pass rusher Dre’Mont Jones. They also lost S Alohi Gilman to the Chiefs.

The Ravens understand their Super Bowl window is primarily tied to QB Lamar Jackson playing like Lamar Jackson. They still retain his four core weapons in WRs Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, RB Derrick Henry, and TE Mark Andrews. Despite his evident decline, Andrews has always had a special rapport with Jackson.

But the Ravens losing a young talent like Isaiah Likely hurts, as does Tyler Linderbaum. But the Raiders did a hard reset on the center market with their contract for Linderbaum. Agreeing to a deal reportedly worth $27 million per year, that’s a 50-percent increase over the current top center contract. The Ravens made very clear that they offered Linderbaum a market-resetting deal. Obviously, they didn’t go far enough.

A 2022 first-round draft pick, Tyler Linderbaum has made the Pro Bowl each of the past three seasons. He was the bedrock of the Ravens’ offensive line, particularly as Ronnie Stanley enters the twilight of his career. Baltimore has also brought back John Simpson after letting him go in free agency, evidently replacing Daniel Faalale.

The Ravens also drafted Isaiah Likely in 2022 in the fourth round. Sharing snaps with Andrews, he had a down year in 2025 in terms of production. Lamar Jackson’s time missed didn’t help, and everybody’s production suffered. In 2024, he caught 42 passes on 50 targets for 477 yards and 6 touchdowns. Now in New York, he can be a featured target for QB Jaxson Dart.
