The Green Bay Packers didn’t waste any time getting to work on Day 2 of the NFL’s legal tampering period.
Before most folks in Wisconsin had even poured their first cup of coffee, the Packers had reportedly agreed to terms with cornerback Benjamin St-Juste on a two-year, $10.5 million deal, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
St-Juste, most recently with the Los Angeles Chargers, arrives in Green Bay at a position that desperately needed reinforcements. The Packers’ cornerback room struggled for consistency throughout the 2025 season, and with the NFC North loaded with talented wide receivers, adding depth and competition was always going to be a priority this offseason.
While St-Juste might not have been the flashiest name on the free agent market, he brings some intriguing traits to the table. At 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, he has the size and length teams covet on the outside — something the Packers have historically valued at the position. His physical profile should give defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon another tool when matching up with the bigger receivers scattered throughout the division.
At 28 years old, St-Juste also brings a bit of veteran experience to a secondary that could use some stability as the Packers continue to reshape the roster heading into 2026.
The deal won’t dominate national headlines, but it’s the type of move that could quietly help shore up one of Green Bay’s biggest question marks heading into next season.
