Odegaard and White absent from pre-Leverkusen training

Martin Odegaard and Ben White are likely to miss tomorrow’s Champions League knockout clash with Bayer Leverkusen after both were absent from this afternoon’s open training session.

The Norway international is nursing a knee injury, first sustained during the draw with Brentford. He has missed the last three games after briefly returning for the closing stages of February’s north London derby.

White, meanwhile, has not kicked a ball in anger since starting against Wigan in the FA Cup in mid-February.

Long-term absentee Mikel Merino remains sidelined.

In better news, several players rested for Saturday’s 2-1 win over Mansfield were back in training, including Jurrien Timber, Gabriel Magalhaes, Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi. Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori, who were both substituted at the weekend, were also present.

Arsenal will fly to Germany this afternoon, with Mikel Arteta set to hold his pre-match press conference at the BayArena later this evening.
