Ben White may be sacrificed by Arsenal this summer out of a need for the Gunners to sell, in a development which could be of interest to Everton.
Everton were linked with White in the January transfer window, although the links were quickly dismissed.

Ultimately, Arsenal were never going to let him go while fighting on four fronts.
However, it has been maintained that White could be a summer outgoing at the Emirates Stadium, especially if his struggles for regular starts continue.
But it seems even if that changes, he could be on his way out given Arsenal’s current situation.

It has been reported by Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth that White could well be on the move this summer.
He said on the Transfer Talk podcast: “With regard to Ben White, we ran a report on Sky Sports News, actually, as early as January. We knew he wasn’t going to move in January.

“But the feeling was that there are a number of clubs who are already looking at Ben White for a potential summer transfer.
“I don’t think there was any will from the Arsenal side to have Ben White leave in the January transfer window. Given, I think, Mikel Arteta wants to keep as much of that squad together as possible, because now, with them fighting on all four fronts, he’s going to need every single player in his squad. But I do expect some sort of movement with Ben White in the summer.”
This follows a report last week from the Telegraph, which claimed that Arsenal ‘must’ sell a first-team player this summer after a £268 million spend.
There are several players who have been talked about as being that big player sale and White is one of them.

A Ben White swoop would be no surprise
It’s started to look like White might be edging towards leaving Arsenal this summer, with the Gunners’ financial situation making this particularly interesting.
Everton have been linked, and he would certainly be the kind of player David Moyes would go for.
White, of course, is a right-back who also plays at centre-back, which is arguably still his natural position.

As we know, Moyes has a love of playing central defenders out wide, so perhaps White could be a perfect fit for Everton.
If the Toffees did move for him, then perhaps that could finally allow O’Brien to move inside to partner Jarrad Branthwaite.
But Moyes would then still have that physicality he likes out wide with White.
