Josh Giddey of the Chicago Bulls is currently out with a hamstring injury.
On Tuesday night, the Chicago Bulls will pay a visit to the Golden State Warriors in California.
For the second-straight game, the Bulls hope to have Josh Giddey in the mix. The veteran guard has been dealing with an ankle sprain, which kept him off the floor for the team’s March 5 matchup against the Phoenix Suns.
Despite missing Giddey for that matchup, the Bulls managed to upset the Suns with a 105-103 victory. Leading up to the following game, the Bulls listed Giddey as questionable. He was cleared for action on March 8.
In the game against the Sacramento Kings, which resulted in a 126-110 loss for the Bulls, Giddey checked in for 33 minutes. He shot 6-13 from the field to score 15 points.
It wasn’t a high-scoring effort for Giddey, but he logged a triple-double. The Bulls’ guard added 12 rebounds and 10 assists to his statline.

The Bulls don’t have a status of 100% for Giddey, but he’s listed on the injury report as probable. There is a good chance that Giddey stays on the floor for the second game in a row.
After seeing the court consistently for 30 out of the first 32 games this year, Giddey missed a chunk of time in the new year. From December 31 to January 20, Giddey missed 11 games in a row. He returned on January 22 against the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road.
He was back for four games before missing additional time. The next stretch of absences would last eight games.

The Bulls aren’t competing for a spot in the Eastern Conference’s postseason this year. With a 26-38 record, the Bulls are well outside of the Play-In picture. Therefore, if Giddey isn’t 100%, he might have a stronger chance of sitting as the season reaches the late stages. There aren’t many players on the Chicago roster with a long-term future on the Bulls, but Giddey isn’t under that umbrella.
Over the summer of 2025, Giddey signed a four-year contract with the Bulls. The 23-year-old is slated to make $100 million through 2029. The Bulls are in the midst of a rebuild, but they made it clear with their investment that Giddey is a part of the long-term plans. The front office will begin building around the former OKC Thunder draft pick in the offseason.
For now, Giddey is looking to close out his second season with the Bulls healthy.
Heading into Tuesday’s action, Giddey has 42 appearances under his belt. The veteran guard is averaging 17.6 points per game, while shooting 45% from the field and 37% from beyond the arc. The young standout is posting 8.5 assists and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Barring any setbacks, Giddey should have the opportunity to continue building on his season on Tuesday. The Warriors and the Bulls are slated for a 10 PM ET tip.
