While Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior won’t take his press conference until this evening, PSG manager Luis Enrique has had his just now ahead of tomorrow’s clash between the two clubs.

He spoke very positively and respectfully about the Blues – but hanging in the air the whole time was the memory of his team’s defeat in the Club World Cup in the summer, and the nasty altercation between Luis Enrique and Joao Pedro on the pitch after the game.

“We like to have the ball more than our opponents, but they do it effectively. They have a very good team with international players,” the former Barcelona coach said of Rosenior’s side.

“We know Chelsea very well, we faced them last summer. They changed coaches and players. We know the difficulty of these types of matches, but we are looking to be ready to win.”

Luis Enrique also had kind words for Rosenior, with whom he crossed paths several times in France in the last couple of years:

“Liam has experience at a high level with Strasbourg, he played very offensively but also well defensively. We are in the position of one of the most important matches. We will try to play our way.”

In other news…

One player who won’t be featuring in the game tomorrow is Estevao, who missed today’s open training session.

The biggest news from the session was of course the appearance of Levi Colwill – but fans shouldn’t get too excited about an imminent return to first team action.
