Chicago Bears add former Detroit Lions wide receiver/returner

LAKE FOREST, Ill., — After a busy day on Monday to open the legal tampering period, the Chicago Bears made an early agreement on Tuesday. Per Ian Rapoport, the Bears have agreed to a deal with former Detroit Lions wide receiver and return man Kalif Raymond.

The deal is one year and worth $5.1 million and will reunite him with Ben Johnson and wide receivers coach Antawn Randle-El after spending five seasons in Detroit. Raymond was named a second-team All-Pro twice in his career with the Lions in 2022 and 2024. He also led the NFL in punt return yards for the 2024 season.

The addition of Raymond fills a need for a returner as well as gives the Bears another body in the wide receiver room.
