Giants free agency rumor pinpoints Ravens 35-game starter as target

The New York Giants reportedly have interest in a Baltimore Ravens free-agent guard.

According to the New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy, the Giants have an eye on Ravens guard Daniel Faalele after the team's failed pursuit of Alijah Vera-Tucker.

As Dunleavy notes, Faalele, who has started in 35 games over four seasons in Baltimore, previously played under new Giants head coach John Harbaugh.

"I'm hearing that Giants guard focus right now includes Daniel Faalele, after Alijah Vera-Tucker negotiations became too rich. The 6-foot-8 (!) Faalele has familiarity with Harbaugh from Ravens and Matt Nagy likes big interior offensive linemen," Dunleavy reported.

Faalele, who stands at a massive 6-foot-8 and 370 pounds, has been a full-time starter for the past two years and hasn't missed a single game in that span.

In 2024, Faalele gave up one sack and 32 pressures while posting Pro Football Focus grades of 58.5 in run-blocking and 62.3 in pass-blocking.

In 2025, his numbers were worse, with a 53.5 in run-blocking and a 60.1 in pass-blocking, and he gave up three more sacks while surrendering two less pressures.

As compared to last year's starter, Gren Van Roten, Faalele falls short, as the former gave up three sacks and 26 pressures while posting superior run-blocking (61.2) and pass-blocking (70.1) grades.

Long story short, Faalele wouldn't exactly be an inspiring addition.

Faalele isn't the only guard the Giants reportedly have their eyes on, as Cleveland Browns veteran guard Wyatt Teller is another, per SNY's Connor Hughes.
