Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown delivered a strong message on Kalif Raymond joining the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Bears landed another member of the Detroit Lions organization Tuesday. NFL Network reported former Lions wide receiver Kalif Raymond is signing a 1-year contract with the Bears.
Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown will have to face his former teammate twice next season. St. Brown, though, didn’t express anything but excitement for his fellow receiver in his reaction to Raymond signing with Chicago.
“Greatest teammate I’ve ever had,” St. Brown wrote on X. “Locker mate since rookie year.
“Love you brother.”
St. Brown and Raymond both joined the Lions in 2021. Detroit selected St. Brown in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The team added Raymond in NFL free agency a month prior.
As St. Brown indicated, they shared lockers next to each other for five years. During that time, the Lions earned back-to-back division titles for the first time since the 1950s.
St. Brown led the Lions in receiving while Raymond was a key secondary pass-catcher and dangerous special teams returner.
