The Los Angeles Rams were awarded two compensatory draft picks by the NFL on Monday, both coming in the seventh round: Picks 7.251 and 7.252.
**With these additions, the Rams are set to have seven picks in the 2026 draft:**
By trading for Trent McDuffie, the Rams sacrificed picks in rounds 1, 5, and 6, as well as a third round pick in 2027.
It also means that the Rams have a massive 114 pick void between their third selection in round three and their fourth selection in round six. It could increase the possibility that Les Snead tries to trade down from 13 to acquire more middle round picks, but that still necessitates finding a team that will bite and hoping that the return is what L.A. needs in that moment. The two extra comp picks will only help secure two players that the Rams would have wanted to sign as undrafted free agents, but that’s better than nothing.
