Geno Smith is heading back to where his career began. The Raiders have worked out a trade which will send the veteran quarterback to the Jets, as first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Vegas will send Smith and a seventh-round pick in this year’s draft to New York for a sixth-round selection this year, Schefter adds. The Raiders, meanwhile, are paying most of Smith’s base salary ($26.5MM) for 2026, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. The Jets will pay him near the league minimum as a result.
