The form

Manchester United had won eight consecutive matches in all competitions before losing to Chelsea after extra time in the Women's FA Cup fifth round.

Meanwhile, the Blues bounced back from a defeat to Manchester City at the beginning of February by recording three victories before the international break.

Recent head-to-head

Chelsea have faced Manchester United twice this season, and both encounters were closely-matched.

A goal from Wieke Kaptein secured a 1-1 draw away from home in Women's Super League action in early October, before we faced them again in the fifth round of the FA Cup in our last match before the latest international break.

That match at Kingsmeadow finished all square after 90 minutes, but a goal from Naomi Girma in extra-time saw us progress into the quarter-final of the competition.
