The Golden State Warriors planned to be shorthanded for their Tuesday night action against the Chicago Bulls, but a new name has popped up on the injury report.

According to the Warriors’ official report, the star forward Draymond Green has been downgraded to questionable for the outing. The Warriors are listing his status as “injury management.” Green has been nursing a lower-back issue.

Draymond Green (injury management) listed questionable Tuesday.

If Green can’t get the nod to play on Tuesday, it would mark his first absence since the Warriors’ February 25 matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies on the road. At the time, the Warriors managed to take care of business with a 133-112 victory. Green returned for the following game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Over the recent five-game stretch, Green has averaged 31 minutes of playing time. He’s been shooting 44% from the field, while dishing out 7.2 assists per game, and coming up with 3.8 rebounds per game.

Unfortunately, the Warriors have just one win during that stretch.

The Warriors Are Struggling

GettyThe Warriors’ struggles without Stephen Curry raise a difficult question: how much does Draymond Green’s impact depend on him?

Lately, Golden State has been without several key players. For starters, the veteran forward Jimmy Butler is out for the remainder of the year due to a torn ACL.

Then, there’s Steph Curry, who is dealing with a knee injury. While it isn’t expected to threaten Curry’s regular season, he has been out since before the Warriors’ All-Star break.

Kristaps Porzingis, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton, Moses Moody, and Quenten Post are all on the Warriors’ injury report for Tuesday’s action as well. Post, Melton, and Green are the only ones listed with a chance to play.

The Warriors are looking to climb out of a two-game slump. Over their last 10 games, they have just three wins. At 32-32, Golden State sits ninth in the Western Conference, likely on pace to lock in a Play-In spot.

Tuesday’s action against the 26-38 Bulls will tip off at 10 PM ET. Green is likely going to be a game-time decision for the matchup.
