Liverpool fans have ripped into Ibrahima Konate over his performance during their UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray. The defender delivered a disastrous display as Liverpool fell to a 1-0 defeat to the Turkish giants for the second time this season.
Looking to avenge the defeat of the previous meeting in September, Arne Slot’s side took the game to the hosts from the first whistle. However, it was Galatasaray who opened the scoring after just seven minutes. Victor Osimhen headed a corner back across goal for Mario Lemina to nod past goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
While several Liverpool players had a night to forget, Konate produced an even worse performance as he looked shaky on many occasions. In fact, he was lucky to get away with an atrocious defending just after the hour mark, which Osimhen punished, but the Nigeria international's goal was ruled out as Baris Yilmaz was offside in the build-up and impacted play.
After the match, furious fans took to X to slam his overall display, with one writing:

Liverpool have lost 12 games in all competitions this season in which they have conceded the opening goal, their most since 2015/16 (also 12).
