Liverpool has work to do in order to progress in the Champions League after losing 1-0 to Galatasaray, but Jamie Carragher is confident that his former club will make the quarter-finals.
However, the Reds legend is not sure that Liverpool will have much of a chance of going all the way in Europe this time around, with some familiar issues raising their head for Arne Slot once again.
Carragher has predicted that PSG will knock out Chelsea in the last-16, going on to play Liverpool next. He also has Manchester City down to beat Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to ease past Atalanta.

Carragher has Barcelona down to beat Newcastle and Atletico Madrid to ease past Tottenham. He also thinks Bodo/Glimt will knock out Sporting CP and face Arsenal next.
For the semi-finals, Carragher has PSG vs. Bayern Munich and Barcelona vs. Arsenal. That means, of course, he thinks Liverpool will be eliminated once again by the French champion.
In the final, Carragher thinks that Arsenal will beat PSG in Budapest. Never before have the Gunners won the Champions League, and they could also win the Premier League title this season.

"You play over two games against each other and now it's half-time, they are 1-0 up," Slot said after Liverpool lost to Galatasaray in Istanbul.
"We can do better, I'm 100 percent sure about that, but even with the game we played we had enough chances to score goals.
"We didn't. But next week we play at Anfield and our fans will be so supportive for us. That was the situation for Galatasaray today; they had great support from their fans.
"It was difficult for us to play in and difficult for another person on the pitch to manage the game. So, let's hope we can create the same atmosphere next week at Anfield.

"There were a lot of similarities between three months ago and now. We had multiple chances to score. After 10, 15 minutes you expect us to lead and then their first attack leads to a set-piece goal.
"Last time was a penalty, now it was a set-piece goal. And another goal disallowed from us. So, yeah, a lot of similarities."
Liverpool.com says: Carragher's predictions are far from outlandish. PSG and Bayern Munich will be a tight game if that is indeed the semi-final and the final, while it feels likely to include Arsenal, will be another really hard match to predict.
