NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported the Cleveland Browns signed offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins to a 2-year, $24 million contract.

The Cleveland Browns made another move to help solidify their offensive line Tuesday. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported the Browns are signing veteran interior offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins.

The Browns and Jenkins agreed to a 2-year, $24 million contract. Pelissero also reported the deal will include $20 million guaranteed.

The Browns agreed to terms with Jenkins a day after the Green Bay Packers released the interior lineman. NFL writer Jason B. Hirschhorn reported Tuesday that Jenkins’s release came with a failed-physical designation.

In seven seasons with the Packers, Jenkins played several different positions along the offensive line. Last season, he primarily switched to center, but that transition didn’t go particularly well.

Jenkins then suffered a lower-leg injury during Week 10.

But while playing guard, Jenkins made the Pro Bowl twice early in his career during the 2020 and 2022 campaigns.
