Bucks veteran set to play after four-month injury absence

Taurean Prince will return to the Bucks' lineup after his long neck recovery since early November.

Taurean Prince is slated for a major return with the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Milwaukee Bucks / Schedule

Ahead of their upcoming home matchup against the Phoenix Suns, head coach Doc Rivers told reporters that Prince (neck) is expected to play.

Prince sustained damage in the herniated disc of his neck and subsequently underwent surgery. He hasn't played a game since Nov. 4 against the Toronto Raptors.

His continued availability to play in 2025-26 was questioned after the medical procedure he underwent, but the veteran made significant progress in his recovery and rehabilitation, resulting in an immediate return to active status this evening.

Still, Rivers and the Bucks will maintain a cautious approach in Prince's on-court exposure.

Prince rejoined the Bucks last offseason in a two-year deal worth $7.1 million. He averaged 8.2 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 80 games last 2024-25 with the Bucks.
