Raiders' minority owner Tom Brady reportedly had no interest in trading Maxx Crosby to the Patriots
Massive shockwaves were sent across the NFL on Tuesday night when Dianna Russini reported that the Baltimore Ravens had backed out of the blockbuster trade for All-Pro edge rusher Maxx Crosby in a trade that had been agreed upon last week.
The report indicates that Crosby had failed his physical, which sort of checks out considering he’s not long removed from a well-documented knee injury. Now, if Crosby is presumably made available again, any team in the NFL can trade for Crosby, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many Buccaneers fans had been calling for Tampa Bay to originally trade for Crosby, and that speculation is only going to continue to grow. But can the Bucs ultimately pull off a massive deal?

Maxx Crosby is Now Available, But at What Cost?

Now that Maxx Crosby will remain a Las Vegas Raider, any team can, I guess, trade for him, but will another team run that risk of giving up several first-round draft picks for Crosby?
Baltimore set the blueprint for what it will take to acquire Crosby, but now that his injury concern might be a larger looming issue, it will be interesting to see if the Raiders lower their asking price, which could massively benefit a team like the Buccaneers.
Lead NFL Draft Analyst for PFF, and known Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan ‘Tampa Bay Tre’, Trevor Sikkema, immediately took to X.com after the massive NFL news to voice his cry for the Bucs to try and pull off a blockbuster trade for the five-time Pro Bowler with 69.5 career sacks.
Sikkema’s tweet is a picture of the Buccaneers’ GM Jason Licht on the phone, and is captioned “Hey John [Spytek], it’s Jason.”

Maxx Crosby News Leaves NFL Fans Questioning Everything
For an early March headline, NFL madness is very much alive and well, and the reactions across the social media landscape about this news are a spectacle to behold.
Maxx Crosby had been the biggest name linked to a trade before this whole Ravens debacle, and the Ravens were the lucky team to land him, but now they dump the trade due to a failed physical?
What did the physical show? That Crosby would be hurt five months from now, still recovering from the knee injury? Even if the knee injury was considered more serious than originally reported, and Crosby were to miss, let’s say, 7-8 months, did the Ravens still not want to take that risk?
There’s so much to digest from this story, and to make matters even more complicated, Las Vegas went on a spending spree on the first two days of NFL free agency. What happens with those guys?? It might not affect the signings, and in return, Las Vegas may end up with the best defense in the NFL. But talk about a tough few days for Baltimore Ravens fans.
Anyway, there’s clearly still more to this story, so stay updated with all the major updates on Heavy on Buccaneers!
