The Pittsburgh Steelers are signing veteran offensive guard/center Brock Hoffman to a one-year contract, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The deal is worth $2.5 million.
As Schultz notes, Hoffman reunites with Mike McCarthy after coaching him in Dallas.

A former undrafted free agent, Hoffman has appeared in 54 games making 16 starts. He’s started seven games each of the past two seasons, logging time along the interior. Last year, he played 419 snaps at center and 55 at left guard. In 2024, he picked up 387 snaps at right guard, 109 at center, and 19 at left guard. Here’s Hoffamn’s career snap breakdown:

The Cowboys surprisingly opted against tendering him, making Hoffman a free agent once the new league year begins Wednesday at 4 PM/EST.
Hoffman will help replace Isaac Seumalo, who agreed to a three-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday. Hoffman may compete with Spencer Anderson as the Steelers’ starting left guard or could be a top backup at left guard and behind center Zach Frazier. Last year’s backup center, Ryan McCollum, is a restricted free agent who hasn’t been tendered or signed back.
Turning 27 in July, Hoffman offers a blend of youth and experience. His small contract won’t prevent Pittsburgh from using a top draft pick along the interior offensive line, either, though the Steelers have other positions to address as well.
Given the high price offensive linemen usually command, this is an economical and smart signing. Look for a full scouting report in the coming days.
