As if Tottenham Hotspur's 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid wasn't bad enough, they could now be facing a defensive crisis for Sunday's trip to Liverpool after suffering a brand-new triple injury blow in the Metropolitano Stadium.
This Tottenham team made history as they lost six successive matches for the first time ever in the Spanish capital, with it also being their second humiliating collapse in less than a week.
Spurs were 4-0 down in the opening 22 minutes against Diego Simeone's side, and while there was an improvement after that, it was too little, too late for the visitors.
The north Londoners face an uphill battle to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League ahead of the second leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next week, but first of they face the small task of playing Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, hovering one point above the Premier League relegation zone.
Romero and Palhinha Doubts for Liverpool
cristian romero
Tottenham have missed the leadership qualities, but maybe not the indiscipline, of Cristian Romero in recent weeks, with the Argentina international sitting out their last four Premier League fixtures after picking up his second red card of the season.
While there are question marks over his conduct on the pitch, Romero is still one of Spurs' best players in the current squad, and they will need him during the run-in.
The 27-year-old might already be a doubt for both the trip to Liverpool and the second leg against Atletico however, after suffering a concussion in the latter stages of the tie in the Spanish capital.
Romero clashed heads with teammate Joao Palhinha, with the Portuguese midfielder having to go off looking quite dazed minutes before the full-time whistle.
Tottenham had already made all of their substitutes so they were down to 10 men in the closing stages, before Romero also crouched down in the centre circle and couldn't continue either.
If it is concussion, then the protocols will be enforced and neither will be available to Tudor on Merseyside.
Kevin Danso Struggling With Ankle Issue
Tottenham defender Kevin Danso
Danso only recently returned from a toe injury for Tottenham, but it was his ankle that was causing him issues against Atletico.
The Austria international took a hit to it and was hobbling considerably during the first half.
While he did appear to run it off later in the game, it looked like one that would be sore and would need checking out this week ahead of Liverpool.
Should Danso be unavailable, along with Romero and Palhinha, it would leave Tudor with a major conundrum.
Tottenham Facing Defensive Crisis
Micky van de Ven celebrating after scoring for Tottenham against Everton in the Premier League
Tottenham are already without Micky van de Ven at Liverpool following his red card against Crystal Palace last time out, which would leave them down to the bare bones in terms of centre-backs.
Radu Dragusin would need to come into the XI, while Tudor may be forced to use Archie Gray and Pedro Porro in his backline, with both playing there at points this season.
It's far from ideal, but otherwise it would be the Croat once again throwing another youngster into the fire, a decision which has already backfired with Kinsky.
