What the German media are saying about Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson's goal and assist for Bayern Munich

Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson is picking up form over at Bayern Munich and it’s attracting the attention of the German media, with two contributions in the Champions League yesterday against Atalanta.

Nicolas Jackson caused a stir back in the summer after refusing to return to Chelsea when they requested after Liam Delap picked up an injury. He had every right to refuse, given that the Blues had made it clear that they didn’t require him at Stamford Bridge. You can’t just pick and choose when you want a player.

However, Jackson’s loan move to Bayern Munich hasn’t gone to plan and they won’t be exercising the permanent option after failing to meet the requirements.

That is now two goals and two assists in two games for Jackson.

Here’s a look at how the German media reacted to his performance against Atalanta.

Who are you starting on the left vs PSG?

FCB Inside gave Nicolas Jackson a grade two out of three for Jackson and had this to say.

Wasn’t seen for a long time in the first half. Then missed a great chance when he failed to beat keeper Carnesecchi in front of goal after a class pass from Diaz. Jackson then put a volley just wide of the goal. At the beginning of the second half, the knot burst: Jackson scored after an assist from Diaz to make it 4-0. The 6-0 by Musiala was set up by Jackson. Strong performance!

Meanwhile, Lauterbacher Anzeiger also gave Jackson a grade two.

Nicolas Jackson: Was allowed to play again as Kane’s replacement and did his job properly. Secured many balls and rewarded himself with his goal to make it 4-0.
