Opinion: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could actually help Everton to sign West Ham star

Everton are keeping close tabs on West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville as David Moyes looks to strengthen out wide.

Moyes clearly wants to add more depth on the flanks, as Everton have been linked to multiple wingers over the last few days.

Summerville is emerging as a Toffees target after an impressive season for West Ham, netting seven goals whilst laying on four assists.

Interestingly, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could actually play a role in any forthcoming negotiations involving the Dutchman.

In football, clubs often recruit players from the same agency, as negotiations can be a lot smoother if they have an existing relationship.

Plus, players who are under the same representation may have a connection with each other, thus helping a transfer to materialise.

Interestingly, Dewsbury-Hall and Summerville are both represented by Wasserman, so the Toffees midfielder may be able to assist in the potential transfer.

Nathan Patterson is also with Wasserman. That means they’ll be able to get a direct line to Summerville and perhaps convince him to move up to Merseyside.

It’s being reported that Tottenham Hotspur are currently leading the race to sign the former Leeds United attacker.

That would likely change if the North Londoners suffer relegation, which is a genuine possibility, as they sit one point above the bottom three.

David Moyes may have been behind West Ham signing Crysencio Summerville

Summerville joined West Ham during the summer of 2024, which was when Moyes left the East Londoners.

That said, there’s a good chance the Scotsman made him a target in the months before he departed.

Moyes has always been keen to recruit from the Championship and Summerville was coming off the back of a sensational season with Leeds in the second tier at the time.

So, it’s hardly surprising that Everton are now keen on signing the 24-year-old as they consider a potential Jack Grealish replacement.
