Liam Rosenior has some key decisions to make when it comes to choosing his starting Chelsea XI to face PSG, none more so than between the sticks.
The defeat to Arsenal at The Emirates saw Robert Sanchez picked for the 11th time in Rosenior’s 13th match. Filip Jorgensen had played against Charlton, Rosenior’s first game, and the 1-0 win over Pafos.
But Rosenior had his head in his hands at times watching Sanchez in North London. For the next match, a trip to Aston Villa, Rosenior decided that enough was enough and brought Jorgensen into the team.
Who are you starting on the left vs PSG?
Chelsea won 4-1 and Jorgensen’s selection was praised. On Saturday, Sanchez returned but he made mistakes against Wrexham and Ben Foster says Sanchez is in an “awful place” currently, at Chelsea.
Rosenior responds when asked who starts in goal against PSG
Naturally, Chelsea fans are none the wiser when it comes to which goalkeeper is selected for the match in Paris. Rosenior would surely prefer to pick his more-experienced shot-stopper, but his confidence is shot.
He’s making more errors than normal, and Jorgensen is more than adequate to impress, if he is given the nod. Asked if he would divulge any clues as to who starts in goal against PSG, Rosenior responded.

In Tuesday’s press conference, Rosenior was asked: “How difficult is the goalkeeping situation for this match, and are you prepared to give us any clues?”, to which Rosenior replied without giving an answer.
“No. Of course not. With this squad, every position is a difficult decision. That’s how it has to be, to be successful. We have a fantastic squad that are full of top, top players. Not even the starting eleven.
“In terms of the goalkeeping position, no.9, no.10. no.7. The goalkeeping position is no different. I will pick what I think is right for each game. You’ll see my decision when the team sheet comes out.”
Chelsea fans have made it clear they want Filip Jorgensen
Rosenior will have hoped to see Sanchez keep a clean sheet against Wrexham and remind Chelsea fans what he can do as a goalkeeper. But he didn’t. Sanchez was slow off the line for Wrexham’s first goal.
Chelsea fans pick Jorgensen to start in goal v PSG – do you agree?
The results of our poll: Sanchez or Jorgensen?
He lacked confidence. Jorgensen did what he could do against Villa, without fault. The Chelsea Chronicle held a poll over who is Chelsea’s no.1 as things stand, and 74% voted Jorgensen as the first choice.
Well, against PSG, it remains completely unclear who Rosenior will pick. But if he wants to choose the goalkeeper that will instill confidence, or rather, not unnerve the Chelsea defence, it is surely Jorgensen.
