Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole disagree as they predict Chelsea vs PSG in the Champions League

It’s a massive game and arguably, Liam Rosenior’s biggest so far. But Steven Gerrard and Joe Cole could not agree when predicting which team would win the tie – Chelsea or PSG.

The two sides could not come into the match in more contrasting fortunes. There is momentum at Stamford Bridge, Rosenior has guided his side to two key wins in the last two, and Joao Pedro is on fire.

PSG, however, come into the game with a lightweight midfield. Luis Enrique watched his side lose to Monaco at home last Friday – a Monaco side that included Denis Zakaria. PSG are in a difficult period.

Clinton Morrison backed a Chelsea win, and Frank Leboeuf thinks Chelsea will be dominant in the middle of the park, an area where PSG are currently struggling. Fabian Ruiz is injured and Joao Neves is a doubt.

Predicting the results of the last 16 Champions League ties on TNT Sports’ TikTok, Gerrard and Cole were in disagreement over who goes through. Gerrard predicts PSG will get the job done, Cole fancies Chelsea.

However, Cole was the only one of the pundits to predict a Chelsea win. Gerrard, Joe Hart, Shay Given and Peter Crouch all think the French champions will have too much for Chelsea over the two-legged clash.

Liam Rosenior, Joao Pedro and PSG’s leaky defence

In PSG’s last 14 matches in all competitions, Enrique’s side have managed just five clean sheets. The loss of Gianluigi Donnarumma has resulted in a goalkeeping issue, with Lucas Chevalier already replaced.

Chelsea fans pick Jorgensen to start in goal v PSG – do you agree?

The results of our poll: Sanchez or Jorgensen?

They play with a high line, and that is likely to suit Chelsea’s in-form Pedro, who has produced the most runs behind a defence in Premier League football. Pedro has done it more than Erling Haaland has.

Then there is the manager himself, Rosenior. In three career matches as a manager against PSG, the former Hull boss has only lost once. Winning one and drawing one, Rosenior had PSG’s number.
