The Cavs come into play as the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-25 record in 65 games.

They have won six out of their last ten games (and are 18-13 on the road).

Following the Magic, the Cavs will play their next game on Friday when they visit Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks.

ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote (on February 3): “The Los Angeles Clippers are trading James Harden to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Darius Garland and a second-round pick, sources tell ESPN. Prolific swap of the star point guards.”

The Cavs are coming off a year where they lost to the Indiana Pacers in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.

Adding Harden could give them a real chance to make the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2018 (when LeBron James was still on the roster).
