Just in: Tottenham confirm Igor Tudor plan ahead of Liverpool after Atletico Madrid defeat

Tottenham appear to have made a big decision regarding the future of interim head coach Igor Tudor in the wake of the embarrassing 5-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

Many supporters have been left calling for his head after the dismal showing in the Spanish capital, which saw Spurs go 4-0 down inside just 22 minutes.

But Tudor looks set to remain at the club, for the foreseeable future at least, despite the defeat being his fourth straight loss in charge of the club since taking over from the sacked Thomas Frank in February.

Igor Tudor Expected To Depart The Club

It has been confirmed that the Croatian will take Spurs' press conference ahead of the return to Premier League action against Liverpool this weekend, suggesting there are no plans to sack him just yet.

Esteemed journalist Henry Winter believed Spurs would make the call on Wednesday to relieve Tudor of his duties at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Speaking to Sky Sports News he said: "Tudor will absolutely be the fall guy. He’ll go within 24 hours, I’m sure."

The defeat to Atletico Madrid made it four straight defeats for Tudor in charge of Tottenham - the worst start to a tenure any manager has had at Spurs. It was also their sixth straight defeat in all competitions - the first time in the club's history that has happened.

The unwanted records just keep piling up, with Spurs' winless start to 2026 in the Premier League being the first time in Premier League history the Lilywhites have gone 11 games without a win.
