Liverpool have one player who is now valued higher than Morgan Rogers, it's not Alexander Isak

Florian Wirtz’s updated transfer value is among the highest in Europe, competing with Liverpool-linked players like Michael Olise, Desire Doue and Morgan Rogers.

Wirtz initially struggled at Anfield after he completed a £116m move from Bayer Leverkusen in the 2025 summer transfer window.

He has since started to find the back of the net and provide assists on a more consistent basis, but his new €130.4m (around £112.6m) valuation means he is still currently worth less than what Liverpool paid for him.

Is it time for Liverpool to move on from Ibrahima Konate?

Would you be too disappointed to see him leave this summer?

Florian Wirtz is Liverpool’s most valuable player

After the Reds broke the British transfer record for Alexander Isak, it would make sense for the Swede to have the largest transfer value of any player.

However, data released by CIES Football Observatory this week instead gives that title to Wirtz.

He is, of course, not the most valuable player in the world, with that title going to FC Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal (€351.6m).

But his potential price tag is in a similar ballpark to a number of players who have been linked to Liverpool.

Michael Olise (€141.5m valuation) has been mooted as a player the Reds like, but he’s unlikely to arrive this summer.

Elsewhere, Morgan Rogers has been linked in the last week or so, and his new transfer value is slightly less than Wirtz’s (€128.9m).

It has also been reported that Liverpool looked at Doue (€130.8m value), but PSG don’t want to sell the wide player this summer.

The value of every player Liverpool own vs Premier League big six

The same data from CIES revealed that the value of every player owned by Liverpool is now €1.046bn (around £903.9m).

That means they have the seventh-most valuable group of players in the world behind Chelsea (€1.73bn), Manchester City (€1.6bn), Real Madrid (€1.54bn), FC Barcelona (€1.389bn), Arsenal (€1.348bn) and PSG (€1.346bn).

While Liverpool are lagging behind some of their Premier League rivals, they are well ahead of Manchester United, who don’t even crack the €1bn mark (€829m) and Tottenham Hotspur, who have been given a surprisingly high value considering how their season has gone so far (€897m).
