**Arsenal could loan out Ethan Nwaneri for a second consecutive campaign, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.**
Things have not gone to plan for the teenager at Marseille, and Romano says his future will be reassessed in July:
“They believe in Nwaneri 100%. So, the message from Arsenal is still optimistic. In the summer, they will speak to the player to understand what’s the best situation for him, whether it’s staying at Arsenal or maybe going on loan somewhere else.”
“So, they will assess all the options with the player. But Arsenal maintain full trust in Ethan. Even if they understand it has been an unlucky loan so far at Olympique Marseille, they believe in the player, they trust the player, they trust his potential, and so nothing has changed in terms of long-term plans.”
What has happened to Nwaneri at Marseille?
------------------------------------------
The 18-year-old left to join the Ligue One side in order to work under highly rated coach Roberto De Zerbi, but the Italian left the Stade Velodrome just 10 days after his arrival.
Habib Beye has replaced De Zerbi in the dugout and Nwaneri has been used sparingly in recent matches, having been an unused substitute during the 1-0 win over Toulouse last weekend.
Would Arsenal consider selling the player?
------------------------------------------
A report in _The Telegraph_ last week [**named**](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-transfer-news-summer-exits-eight-players/) Nwaneri as one of eight players who could be candidates for sale as the club seek to balance the books to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability rules.
Along with Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly was also mentioned as another academy graduate who could be offloaded as they would go down as pure profit in the club’s accounts.
However, Romano’s remarks do suggest that the Gunners are aiming to keep Nwaneri, even though they may contemplate loaning him out again.
