Ravens signing Trey Hendrickson after nixed Maxx Crosby trade with Raiders

The Baltimore Ravens have found their edge rusher after nixing the trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for Maxx Crosby.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter the Ravens and Trey Hendrickson have agreed to a four-year, $112 million deal in free agency, which works out to $28 million annually.

"Ravens and Trey Hendrickson reached agreement on a four-year, $112 million contract," Schefter reported.

The Ravens' signing of Hendrickson comes just hours after the team pulled out of the Crosby trade with the Raiders after the star edge rusher failed his physical.

This signing certainly won't put to bed the idea that the Ravens had buyer's remorse after initially surrendering two first-round picks for Crosby.

Nevertheless, the Ravens got the edge rusher they so desperately needed.

A four-time Pro Bowler, Hendrickson is one of the best edge rushers in the NFL, as evidenced by his leading the league in sacks from 2023-24.

Hendrickson is coming off a down year, though, and there are concerns about his decline, as he's 31 years old. He appeared in just seven games due to injury and posted four sacks in those contests, which didn't help his market.

That said, at $28 million per year, Hendrickson could prove to be a steal if he returns to form in 2026.
