The Baltimore Ravens needed less than a day to pivot after their pursuit of Maxx Crosby collapsed. Baltimore struck an agreement with former Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The four-time Pro Bowler went unsigned during the NFL‘s two-day negotiation window, but the Ravens acted quickly once their deal for Crosby fell through. Hendrickson now joins a division rival and will face his former team twice each season.

Baltimore had previously agreed to send two first-round picks to the Las Vegas Raiders for Crosby before concerns surfaced during his physical examination.
With that deal off the table, the Ravens shifted their focus entirely to Hendrickson and committed significant resources to land the veteran edge rusher.

According to Rapoport, it’s a four-year contract worth up to $120 million with $60 million fully guaranteed. The base value comes in at $112 million, with incentives in the first two years potentially pushing the guaranteed money to $64 million.

Hendrickson has been one of the league’s most productive pass rushers when healthy. The nine-year veteran spent his first four seasons with the New Orleans Saints before joining Cincinnati.

He’s recorded double-digit sack totals in four of the past six seasons, with his best work coming recently. Hendrickson posted 17.5 sacks in both 2023 and 2024, leading the NFL in 2024 while earning first-team All-Pro honors and finishing runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year.

The Trey Hendrickson move addresses a major need for Baltimore. Their edge group had grown thin heading into free agency. Dre’Mont Jones agreed to terms with the New England Patriots, while Kyle Van Noy and David Ojabo are both free agents.
That leaves Tavius Robinson, Mike Green, Adisa Isaac, and Kaimon Rucker as the remaining options on the roster. Those four combined for just 12.5 sacks last season.
